New Class at Berkeley Repertory Theatre: Voice for Emerging Actors
The class will introduce an exploration of the voice in the context of human communication. It will provide a classical progression of Linklater voice exercises to free, develop and strengthen the voice, first as a human instrument, then as an actor’s instrument. We will focus upon how the voice works, why it doesn’t, self observation, relaxation, physical awareness, breath awareness, touch of sound, vibrations, freeing the channel for sound, releasing the voice from the body, exploring the resonators, range and articulation. Students will work with poetic text of their choice.

- New Online Voice class at Academy of Art University Online
Lisa has just created a new online voice and speech class for the University. In fifteen weeks, you follow the classical Linklater voice progression and learn the IPA. It will be available for the first time in the Spring semester of 2008.
